Privacy Policy

At Somnia Studios, we take your privacy seriously — and we know that in photography, privacy and image use are closely connected. This policy covers both how we handle the personal information you share with us and how we use photographs and film produced through our work together. By using our website or booking our services, you agree to the practices described here.

Photo & Film Policy

This policy covers all visual work produced by Somnia Studios, including photography, video, and film. Where audio is recorded as part of a session, we’ll make this clear in advance.

Your images

You own the images we make of you. Depending on your package or agreement, you’ll receive edited files for personal and professional use. Full licensing terms are set out in your booking agreement.

Portfolio and promotional use

We may wish to use images from your session on our website, social media, or in printed materials to represent our work. We’ll always ask for your permission before doing so, either in your booking agreement or directly ahead of publication.

You can say no, and it won’t affect your booking or the quality of our work. If you’ve previously given permission and would like to withdraw it, get in touch, and we’ll remove the images promptly.

Fine art and exhibition work

Where a project is conceived as fine art or intended for exhibition, this will be agreed with you in advance. Separate written consent will always be obtained, covering the specific context and scope of the work’s display.

Children and young people

We will never photograph anyone under the age of 18 without explicit written consent from a parent or guardian. Images of minors will not be shared publicly without the same written permission.

Image retention

We keep working files for up to 12 months after delivery. After that, files may be deleted unless we’ve agreed otherwise. If you’d like your images removed from our systems at any point, contact us.

Privacy Policy

Somnia Studios is committed to protecting your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
